Family Services Westlakes
Family Services Westlakes is a service funded by NSW Family and Community Services as an early intervention program for new parents with children 0–8 years in the West Lake Macquarie area. This service provides family support, parent education, supported playtimes, referrals to other services and assisted transport to health services.
Family Services Westlakes offers offers eligible families:
- Home visiting
- Family support and advocacy
- Supported Playtimes
- Parent education programs
- Support for parents in the antenatal period to helping prepare for birth
- Vulnerable families with children aged up to eight years
- Parents expecting or caring for a new baby
- Understanding of child development and referral to other services if required
- Case work/Case management
