 Janene Manwaring – Television Producer

Janene ManwaringJanene Manwaring joined the Wesley Mission family in February 2010.

Janene's television career began at Ten Captial in the A.C.T whilst studying a Communications Degree at the University of Canberra in 1999.

After working for Channel 7 and Channel Nine affiliates in Wagga Wagga, Janene took up a position with WIN Television's Canberra Bureau in 2004. In December of that year she covered the aftermath of the Tsunami disaster in Sri Lanka, the only journalist to have covered an international disaster in WIN Television history.

Janene moved up the ranks as Senior Reporter at WIN and Deputy Chief of Staff, specialising in court and emergency services rounds. Stories include the Coronial Inquest into the Canberra bushfires of January 2003, in which four people lost their lives, and more than 530 homes were destroyed.

Now in a more behind the scenes role as a Television Producer, Janene says she’s privileged to be able to tell the stores of Wesley Mission clients who have overcome all odds, and is inspired by the tireless workers who ‘make a difference’ to so many.

Christine Johnson – Production Coordinator

Christine JohnsonChristine Johnson has been involved in the Christian media industry for the past 30 years. She worked for the Rex Humbard television ministries, an American Christian TV program that aired every Sunday 9am on the National Nine Network. As Wesley Mission’s program in the 1980’s gained recognition it took over Rex Humbard’s time slot.

In 1984 she joined the Media Department of Wesley Mission as Production Assistant for their television and radio programs Turn Round Australia and Sunday Night Live.

Her current role is Production Co-ordinator for the new television program, Wesley Impact! She also provides administrative support for the Media team.

Christine loves working for Wesley Mission and feels privileged to be part of a team who are keen to see the message of Gospel presented through the television programs.

David Forsyth - Editor

David ForsythDavid Forsyth has worked at just about every conceivable job in film and television though post-production has always held a special place for him. Jumping off tape editing and onto the non-linear editing bandwagon in the early 1990's, David certified as an Avid Certified Instructor in 1995 and was quickly elevated to the position of Senior Instructor in 1997. Since then, he has taught literally hundreds of courses both in Australia and in New Zealand. He has even written courseware most notably for the Australian Film, Television and Radio school for which he wrote introductory and advanced courses on Apple Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer and Avid Marquee.

David has worked extensively in post-production being involved in such films as The Matrix, Mission: Impossible-II, Red Planet, Charlotte Gray and Double Jeopardy and television shows like Good News Week, My Brother Jack and the popular Farscape series as well as having worked most recently on Border Security (Seven Network), The Lottery Changed My Life (Discovery Channel USA) and Head Rush (Mythbusters spinoff for Discovery Channel USA). David also produces a regular YouTube series (also featured on the iTunes Store which has enjoyed unprecedented popularity all over the world.

Now working at Wesley Mission as the editor in the Creative Services department, this new role has presented a wonderful opportunity.  "Being able to take what I love doing and mix it up with the opportunity to help spread the Gospel is just the best combination imaginable!"

David is a ProTools user, voiceover artist and also an accomplished musician and singer (but an absolutely lousy dancer).
